Meet the Cast
Katherine Albright (she/her) is excited to be back on the Gundlach stage for her sophomore year. She is an AYA English Education Major with a minor in Theatre and Business Administration. This is her fourth show as a Heidelberg student, and in the past has performed as a member of the ensemble in Fiorello!, Assassins and Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. She has previously performed with the Concert choir, Studio2Stage, currently edits for the Rock Creek Review and is a proud Zeta Ember! Katherine looks forward to this and future performances with the Heidelberg School of Music and Theatre and her amazing cast mates.
Serria Allen (she/they), is a Senior English and Media major and is excited to be back on the Gundlach stage for her last year! Serria has been a part of the theater department since their Freshman year at Heidelberg. She has previously acted in Addams Family (Ensemble), Chicago (Select Dance Ensemble), and Assassins! (Ensemble/Proprietor U/S) and Spongebob the Musical (Electric Skate #1/Ensemble/Plankton U/S). Serria was also a part of Cinderella (Assistant Stage Manager), Wendy and Peter (Assistant Stage Manager) Measure for Measure (Assistant Stage Manager), Les Liaison Dangereuse (Sound Designer/Operator), Fiorello (Sound Mixer), One Man Two Guvnor’s (Sound Designer) and The Woman in Black (Assistant Director/Stage Manager/Marketing). Serria will also be the sound designer for the upcoming fall play 26 Pebbles. They have also been the show photographer for many of the Mainstage and Black Box performances! When they aren’t on stage she is a part of several of Heidelberg’s organizations, such as Zeta Theta Psi, Nu Sigma Alpha, and, The Kil. She hopes you enjoy watching the show as much as she loved performing the show!
Meg Amburgey she/her (Soloist for “Day By Day”) is thrilled to be a part of our production of Godspell. She was previously in Fiorello (Dora u/s, Sophie), One Man, Two Guvnors (Pauline Clench), and will be in the upcoming blackbox production of Sweet Delilah Swim Club (Lexie Richards). She would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her!
Holly Ashford is a freshman majoring in Musical Theatre. She is from Spring, Texas, located just North of Houston. A few of the shows she has been seen in include Cinderella -The Enchanted Edition- (Fairy Godmother), West Side Story (Anita), The Music Man (Marian), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Ensemble), Beauty and The Beast (Madame de la Grande Bouche), and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator). Holly is very excited to be making her first appearance on the Heidelberg stage. She is incredibly grateful to God, the amazing cast and crew that has shown her so much support in this process, and her family and friends back home.
Lily Brown, originally from Dayton, Ohio, is a transfer student double majoring in musical theatre and media, with a minor in business administration at Heidelberg University. This is their first Heidelberg production and they hope to be in more! Aside from theatre, Lily is also a member of the Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, and the Heidelberg Colorguard. They would like to thank their family and friends for all their support and love, and they hope you enjoy the show!
Evan Eaglin is a freshman History and Education double major, with a minor in Theater at Heidelberg University. He is from Friendship, Indiana. Before Godspell, Evan appeared in several shows for his highschool’s theater productions. These roles include Tinman (“Wizard of Oz”), Orin Scrivello (“Little Shop of Horrors”), Sam Carmichael (“Mamma Mia”), and Professor Plum (“Clue”). Special thanks from Evan go to his family, friends and God.
Simon Fletcher is a sophomore who studies Vocal performance at Heidelberg. Simon is originally from Carey Ohio, where he participated in the school musicals and in many community theater shows. Simon's first show at Heidelberg was last spring's musical, Assassins (2024 Big Bill). Simon is so happy to be back working in another show and is excited to bring the essence of Elton John to the stage.
Jacob Frankart he/him (as himself) could not be more excited to perform this production of Godspell. A few of the shows he has performed in at Heidelberg include Chicago (Dance Ensemble), Fiorello! (Neil), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Le Chevalier Danceny), and The Woman in Black (Kipps). His favorite aspect of this show has been learning more about the newer members of the Heidelberg theatre and growing closer to his fellow cast members. He hopes you all enjoy the show and wants to give a special shout-out to his family who have supported him every step of the way.
Bailey Grizzell is very excited to perform in her first show at Heidelberg! In the past she's been seen in shows such as Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia, and more! She would like to thank her friends, family, and her dog Lilo. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Lavannah Hamilton She/Her (Production Assistant Stage Manager) is a freshman Musical Theater major who is excited to make her Gundlach debut as an assistant stage manager for You Just Never Know. She has had no previous production experience with theater, but she is thrilled to start now! Lavannah is extremely grateful for all of her production roles this semester and can’t wait to make this an amazing first semester.
Amelia Hammond she/her (Co-Costume Designer) is so pleased to start her junior year with a bang in this production of Godspell! She is a third-year Theatre major with a Musical Theatre concentration. Amelia has previously performed in The SpongeBob Musical (Plankton), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Cecile Volanges), Measure For Measure (Pompey), Fiorello! (Mrs. Zappatella), One Man, Two Guvnors (Alfie/Old Man), and Assassins (Emma Goldman/Ensemble). This summer, she also performed in Godspell at Norwalk Arts Center. She would like to thank Sue Hlavinka and Karla Kash for giving her many creative opportunities as both an actor and the production team. She would also like to shout out the cast and crew of Godspell at NAC for the endless support throughout the summer, allowing her to continue her passion in a different space, it means the world to her to be part of that community.
Zaria Keys she/her (Jesus) is a Senior (AHH!) and is double majoring in Psychology and Theatre with a concentration in Acting and minor in Business. Godspell is one of the many performances that Zaria has been involved in at Heidelberg. Some other productions you might have seen her in include Assassins (The Proprietor), Spongebob the Musical (Patrick), and Measure for Measure (The Duke). Zaria is also the President of the theatre honorary, Alpha Psi Omega as well as President of Heidelberg’s improv group, Make-A-Scene on campus! She wants to thank God for guiding her and her family and friends for being her main source of inspiration and love. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Opossum Kreuscher They/He (Ensamble) They have previously performed in shows at Heidelberg such as Fiorello! (Hack), Measure for Measure (Guard), and Circle Mirror Transformation (Schultz). Opossum would like to thank his parents for always being so supportive of him and his goals. They’re the reason he’s here today.
Natalie Kwasny (she/her) is beyond excited to be back on the Gundlach stage! Natalie is a 3rd year Music Education major, and is involved in the University’s Concert Choir, Marching Band, and is a member of the sorority Delta Sigma Chi on campus. She would like to thank her high school theatre director, Brian Marshall, for always believing in her and for teaching her everything she knows about the world of music and theatre. She would also like to thank her friends and family for always being there to support her in every single production she is a part of.
Hannah Lewis (By My Side) is a second year Musical Theatre major is thrilled to be back on the Gundlach stage. Previously, Hannah has appeared as Squeaky Froome in Assasins, Florence in Fiorello, Christine in One Man Two Gouvnors, and Lucio in Measure for Measure. She is also the Dramaturg for this production and wants to thank her Dad for his help on her work. Alongside acting, Hannah enjoys working on props, and stage management. She wants to thank the directing team for giving her this opportunity as well as her family and friends for being so supportive of her passions. She particularly wants to thank her Mom for being her rock and listening to all of her nonsense through the process. She also wants to thank the cast for being so supportive and fun to work with. She hopes you all enjoy the show!
Jerahmy Marshall they/he (John The Baptist/Judas) is a sophomore Theatre major with an Acting Emphasis and Music Minor. They have been in Fiorello, Measure for Measure, One Man Two Guvnors, and most recently Assassins as Guiseppee Zangara. They are so excited to be doing Godspell with this amazing cast and crew!! They are so grateful to Karla, Mike, and Pam for giving them the opportunity to perform in such a fun show! They hope you enjoy the show and the hard work that the cast and crew has to put into it!
Lainey Miller (she/her) is so excited to start off her freshman year doing Godspell. Lainey ismajoring in Theatre with an Acting concentration. She has previously performed in The Little Mermaid (Windward), Peter Pan (Nana/The Croc), Fiddler on the Roof (Frumah-Sarah), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Judah), and Radium Girls (Ms. Wiley/Irene). She would like to thank her parents for being so supportive in following her love of theatre into college. She would also like to thank Karla Kash for being such a creative mentor that she can look up to.
Sydney Mendez they/them are a sophomore majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Production. They are so excited to be in the cast of their fourth show here, being a part of Assassins (Ensemble), Measure for Measure (Ensemble), Fiorello! (Ensemble), and now as “We Beseech Thee” soloist in this production of Godspell! They would like to thank Karla Kash for this opportunity, and their family back home in FL for their love and support!
Josey Norgren is so happy to make her debut in her first Heidelberg Theatre production! She is a freshman at Heidelberg University and has recently moved here from Phoenix, Arizona. She is thankful for the past few years she spent with the QC Theatre Company (her high school theatre) and is excited to experience a new challenge in Musical theatre at Heidelberg. She thanks her Mom for being the backbone of her career and allowing her to pursue this which has ultimately allowed her to become successful in her field , and fortunately be nominated (and win) awards for it! Lauren Price she/her (Marianna Williamson, Ensemble, Hair and Makeup Designer) Lauren is thrilled to be on stage for her second year at Heidelberg! Lauren is a Musical Theater and Music double major. She was recently seen in Assassins (Ensemble), Circle Mirror Transformation (Lauren), Measure For Measure (Marianna), and Fiorello! (Nina). She serves as the costume shop manager. She is also a member of the Heidelberg University Marching and Symphonic Band and Concert Choir. This show has been such a pleasure to bring to life! Lauren would like to thank her family, friends, and professors for their endless support!
Becca Shoemaker is a Freshman Musical Theatre major at Heidelberg University. She is from Mansfield Texas. Some of her favorite roles she has done in the past include Cady Heron (Mean Girls the Musical), Giacinta (Scapino), Mary (The Bald Soprano), and Belinda Cratchett (A Christmas Carol). This is her first production with Heidelberg Theatre and she is also part of the Concert Choir. Special thanks from Becca go to her family, friends, castmates, and instructors.
Matthew Strouse is a freshman at Heidelberg University majoring in Environmental Science/Sustainability and Education, as well as minoring in Business. Being a part of Godspell, Concert Choir, and Chamber Singers has made him feel so grateful and fulfilled. He would like to thank his family, friends, and girlfriend for all of their support, and he can't wait for you to watch!
Grace Thomas is so excited to be a part of this incredible production!! This is her 5th show with the Heidelberg Theatre and it has truly been such a fun and engaging experience! It’s been so amazing getting to work with everyone involved, and she can’t wait for you to see all the hard work that’s been put into this show!! Enjoy!!!
Conor Wells is very excited to be in his first production at Heidelberg University! He is a freshman, and has come all the way from Memphis. He is thankful for everyone at his prior theatre company (Brothers On Stage) and to his Mother for supporting his dreams and making sacrifices to get him here.
Becca Young she/her is a sophomore majoring in Theatre with a Concentration in Acting and double minoring in Business and Psychology. She is ecstatic to be a part of her fifth main stage production, previously making her Gundlach debut in Fiorello! (Newsie/ Ensemble), Friar Peter in Measure For Measure, Boy Scout Leader/ Gareth in One Man Two Guvnors and various ensemble roles in Assassins. Becca would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support, as well as the entire theatre department for all of their hardwork and dedication!
Meet the Crew
Sam Barker He/Him (Scenic Charge/Assistant Set Designer/Poster Designer/Crew) is a current junior pursuing Theater Production and a minor in Art. Having transferred from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and previously studying Art and Philosophy, he is honored to have the opportunity to assist the talented cast and crew in this production. Some of Sam’s previous works at Heidelberg include: One Man Two Guvnors, Assassins, and The Letter G. He would also like to thank his parents and friends for all of their love and support.
Dia Biggs (She/Her) is an assistant stage manager for the production of Godspell, Dia is excited for her fist show at Heidelberg. Dia is a production major and a business administration minor. We hope you enjoy Heidelberg's production of Godspell!
Melaina Brostenianc She/Her (Co-Marketing Director) is beyond excited for this show! Melaina is a Sophomore AYA Education major with a concentration in Social Studies at Heidelberg University. She has been involved in Heidelberg's production of Fiorello! (Assistant Stage Manager), Endgame (Sound Designer//Marketing), One Man Two Guvnors (Assistant Director/Marketing), and Assassins (Assistant Director/Marketing). She has also acted as the Marketing Director for the theatre department. Outside of the theatre Melaina is also a part of Greek Life which includes Kappa Psi Omega and Nu Sigma Alpha Heid Babe's. Melaina would like to give a big thanks to Josey for all of her continuous help with the marketing and taking on the Co-Marketing Director position. Break a leg!
Kyleigh Clark they/them (Sound Mixing) is a Sophomore Computer Science major, with minors in Business and Theater. After acting for 7 years in school and community theater, they’ve decided to step into the technical aspect of theater. They’ve previously been involved with One Man, Two Guvnors (Sound Mixing) and Assassins (Assistant Lighting Design/Sound Mixing) here at Heidelberg, as well as assisting with tech for Seussical at Christina’s Hullabaloo. Kyleigh is excited to keep learning more, and they hope you enjoy the show!
Karla Kash, She/Her, is the Director and Intimacy Director for this joyful musical. She is grateful to have worked with the incredibly creative cast and production team. Ms. Kash has previously directed productions of Assassins, Wendy and Peter Pan, SpongeBob the Musical, and Measure for Measure at Heidelberg, and she has also choreographed Fiorello!
Professor Kash is in her third year as an Associate Professor and Director of Theatre at Heidelberg University. This marks her nineteenth year as a full-time educator at the university level. Karla feels blessed to be a part of the Heidelberg team and the Tiffin community.
Ms. Kash is a professional director and choreographer who is a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers. She is also a professional actor and a member of the Actors' Equity Association. Additionally, she is a fight director and has been trained in six weapons by the Society of American Fight Directors and is trained in intimacy direction. Ms. Kash is certified in Mental Health First Aid and has completed Green Dot training.
Some of Ms. Kash’s favorite roles as an actor are Barbara in August: Osage County at Repertory Theatre of Iowa; Susan in the musical [title of show] and Becca in Rabbit Hole at StageWest; Diana in Next to Normal at Des Moines Onstage; Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet at American Theatre for Actors in NYC (and was the production's fight director); and Martha in A Piece of My Heart at the Metropolitan Playhouse, NYC. Karla’s most incredible experience as an actor is playing Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten opposite her mentor, the late Jonathan McMurtry, at North Coast Repertory Theatre in Solana Beach, CA, under the direction of David Ellenstein.
Ms. Kash’s favorite productions as a professional director, choreographer, and/or fight director are Parade, Jerry Springer the Opera, Spring Awakening, and Avenue Q for StageWest; West Side Story, Rock of Ages, and The Wedding Singer for The Des Moines Playhouse; The Glass Menagerie, Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night for The Repertory Theatre of Iowa; The World Goes ‘Round for The International Lyric Academy in Italy; and Shipwrecked at The Black Hills Playhouse. A career highlight for Karla was doing the fight direction for the Broadway National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles.
Ms. Kash earned a BFA in Acting with an emphasis in Dance, Directing, and Musical Theatre from Wright State University and an MFA in Acting with a focus on Classical Theatre and Movement Studies from Brandeis University.
Karla is excited to be a new member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and a Faculty Adviser to the Board of Trustees at Heidelberg. Professor Kash's proudest accomplishment in her educational career was receiving the distinguished Madlyn Levitt Mentor of the Year award at Drake University, where she was also granted tenure.
Melany Menendez is very excited to be a part of this show as the Assistant Director at Heidelberg! Although she is not acting in this production, in the past she has taken roles in the productions of In The Heights, Chicago, Detroit 67, Sister Act, Pipeline and more! She would love to thank her family and friends for guiding her through her journey and encouraging her every step of the way.
Autumn Perry She/Her (Master Electrician) is a Senior Theatre Production and English Literature double major with a minor in Business and is overjoyed to be the Master Electrician for the main stage production of Godspell this September. Autumn has previously been involved in Heidelberg's productions of The Addams Family (Ast. Stage Manager), Eurydice (Stage Manager), Chicago (Stage Manager), Misery (Sound Designer), Top Girls (Sound Designer), Spooky-Dog and the Teen-Aged Gang Mysteries (Sound Designer), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Production Stage Manager), Porch (Light Designer), Spongebob (Assistant Technical Director), Fiorello! (Production Stage Manager), The Woman in Black (Scenic Designer), Measure for Measure (Production Stage Manager), One Man, Two Guvnors (Production Stage Manager), The Letter G (Sound Designer), and most recently, Assassins (Production Stage Manager, Sound Designer, Ast. Lighting Designer, Ast. Scenic Designer). Autumn is extremely grateful for her production roles this semester and looks forward to another wonderful semester in the theater. Zion Pinell is a Sophomore double majoring in Theatre Production and Psychology with a Gender and Identity Studies minor. Godspell is their first production at Heidelberg University! Outside of theatre Zion is involved in the Black Student Union, Dance Team, and Berg Allies. Zion is excited to be making their Heidelberg debut and wants to extend a thank you to their family and friends for their unwavering support.
Milana (Millie) Robbins she/her (Production Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be participation in to theater in her Sophomore year! She has participated in the International Academy of Macomb’s productions Alice in Wonderland (Lead Set Designer/Backstage Crew), Romeo and Juliet (Lead Set Designer/Backstage Crew), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Lead Set Designer/Lead Stage Manager). She also partook in Gundlach Theatre’s production of Fiorello! (Assistant Stage Manager), Measure For Measure (Assistant Stage Manager), One Man Two Guvnors (Assistant Stage Manager), and Assassins (Assistant Stage Manager). Millie would like to thank her parents for their unconditional support through each production and her assistant stage managers for making the job go as smoothly as it did!
