Meet the Cast
Zach Abraham (Claudio) is a senior at Heidelberg University this fall. He is currently pursuing a degree in both Musical Theatre as well as Accounting. Zach is beyond excited to play Claudio in this production. Zach would like to thank his family in Marion, as well as his musical theatre family here in Tiffin. Zach wishes everyone to break a leg with Measure for Measure!
Olivia Akins she/her (Gentleman #2, Officer) is excited to make her return to the Gundlach stage! She is a freshman who has been seen in her community theater productions of Music Man (Pick-A-Little Lady) and Kinky Boots (Factory Worker) and the recent production of Fiorello at Gundlach (Ensemble Member). Olivia is thrilled to be working with such brilliant actors, production teams, and directors. While continuing her studies at Heidelberg, she hopes to grace the stage again!
Katherine Albright she/her (Jezebel/Angelo’s Messenger) is excited to be on the Gundlach stage for her freshman year. This is her second show as a Heidelberg student, and recently performed as a member of the Ensemble in Fiorello!. She also performs with the Concert choir and looks forward to this and future performances with the Heidelberg School of Music and Theatre.
Meg Amburgey she/her (Francisca/Jezebelle) is very proud to be on the Gundlach stage. She has previously performed in Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Legally Blonde (Brooke Wyndham/Delta Nu), Christmas Carol (Belle), as well as other productions. Also, being dance captain in community theater shows. She would like to thank her family and vocal teacher for always supporting her!
Bri Clark graduated with a BA and is now pursuing her MBA at Heidelberg. She has participated in theatrical productions pretty much her whole life! Bri has been in multiple shows here at Heidelberg including Pride and Prejudice, She Kills Monsters, Addams Family, Dangerous Liaisons, and many more. She also contributes as the theater department's Scenic Charge and Graphic designer. Bri is excited for her future once she leaves the Heidelberg stage!
Amelia Hammond she/her (Pompey/Assistant Scenic Charge/Projections Assistant) is so pleased to be a part of this production of Measure For Measure! She is a second-year Theatre major with a musical theater concentration. Amelia has previously performed in The SpongeBob Musical (Plankton), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Cecile Volanges), We Have Apples (Jane), and Fiorello! (Mrs. Zappatella). She would like to thank everyone who worked on this production and for making this process so smooth and FUN!
Dermot Healy he/him (Escalus) is excited to be a part of this production of Measure for Measure. His other shows include Fiorello!(Ensemble), SpongeBob (Gary), The Other Place (Man), Wendy and Peter Pan (Tom), and Chicago (Ensemble).
Jackson Helmholtz they/them (Angelo) is a Senior acting major. They have been in multiple productions at Heidelberg University including Wendy and Peter Pan (Peter Pan), Spooky Dog (Ted), My First Time, Pride and Prejudice (Ensemble), The Cake (The Voice), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Flute/Thisbe), Cinderella (Ensemble/Dance Captain), Chicago (AD/Ensemble), Les Liaison Dangereuses (Major Domo/US Valmont & Danceny), Fiorello (Ensemble), and now Measure for Measure! They are so ecstatic to work with such an amazing group of artists. They’d like to thank their family and friends for their constant support that they provide.
Sarah Jewell she/her (Juliet) is excited to be back on the Gundlach stage for her first ever Shakespeare performance! She is a Musical Theatre and Vocal performance double-major and has Spanish and Theatre education minors. Sarah has previously performed in Fiorello! (Dora), Spongebob (Sandy Cheeks), Chicago (Hunyak), among other shows. She would like to dedicate this show to her mom, as she couldn't ask for a better supporter in her life.
Natalie Joritz (Mistress Overdone) (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of this production. She is a senior musical theatre major at Heidelberg from Garfield Heights, Ohio. Previous credits include: Marie Fischer (Fiorello!), Karen the Computer (Spongebob), and Martin the Cabin Boy (Wendy and Peter Pan). Outside of theatre, Natalie is a member of Zeta Theta Psi, Studio 2 Stage, Alpha Psi Omega, the Euglossian Society (Euglo), and the honors program. Love goes out to her friends and family for all their support, the production team for making this show possible, and her parents for not having a cow over her playing so many “adventurous” women lately. Zaria Keys she/her (Duke Vincento) is a Junior and is currently double majoring in Psychology and Theatre with a concentration in Acting and minor in Business. Measure for Measure is one of the many performances that Zaria has been involved in at Heidelberg. Some other productions you might have seen her in include Spongebob the Musical (Patrick), Wendy and Peter (John), and Chicago (Six). Zaria is also the Vice President of the theatre honorary, Alpha Psi Omega and is a part of Heidelberg’s improv group, Make-A-Scene on campus! She wants to thank her family and friends for being her main source of inspiration and love. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Opossum Kreuscher They/He (Abhorson/Guard) is excited to perform in his second mainstage show. He has performed in previous shows such as Fiorello (Hack/Ensemble), 12 Angry Jurors (Juror 3), and others. He also worked on props for this production. Opossum would like to thank his friends for supporting him throughout the semester.
Hannah Lewis (Lucio) is ecstatic to be back on Gundlach stage for another fantastic show. She is excited to have had the opportunity to learn so much more about Shakespeare throughout the process. Hannah has also appeared in Fiorello here at Heidelberg and previously in various highschool productions at Solon High School. When not on stage, Hannah also served as a member of the Props Team for this production. She wants to thank Karla Kash and all of the cast and crew for making this such an amazing learning experience and giving her this opportunity to grow as a performer.
Mackenzie Ludwig she/her (Varrius/Jezebel/props team) is a first-year student, and she is excited to be in her second show at Heidelberg. She was previously in Fiorello (Chorus Cutie) here at Heidelberg. Before that she was in Pride and Prejudice (Elizabeth Bennet) and Annie (Lily St. Regis) at Eisenhower High School. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Jerahmy Marshall they/them (Provost) is so excited to be doing their 2nd show in the Gundlach Theatre as a freshman. After being in Fiorello, they are so excited to be in the first play of the mainstage season! They are so grateful to Karla and the ADs for giving them the opportunity to perform in such an important role! They hope you enjoy the show and the hard work that the cast and crew has to put into it!
Jadon Muñiz he/him (Elbow) is a Senior this year at Heidelberg University. He is majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Acting as well as majoring in Business Management. Jadon is excited to be a part of this amazing production with all these amazing people. He would like to thank his parents and brother for their constant love and support. Jadon has performed various roles at Heidelberg, his favorites being: Sebastion in Cinderella, Father in Eurydice, Smee in Wendy and Peter Pan, Spooky Dog in Spooky Dog, and Morris Cohen in Fiorello.
Wilhelmina Opferman she/her (Friar Thomas/Jezebel) is a sophomore musical theatre and English writing double major, with minors in history and German. Some of her previous appearances onstage have been in The SpongeBob Musical (SpongeBob Squarepants), Fiorello (Ensemble/Cutie), and Top Girls (Waitress/Kit/Shona). She is also heavily involved in the production side of things, designing the hair and makeup for Les Liaisons Dangereuses, assistant costume designing SpongeBob, and currently serving as the costume shop manager. Outside of theatre, she is a member of the Euglossian Society, Zeta Theta Psi, Concert Choir, and Marching Band. Wilhelmina would like to thank her legs for always supporting her and her arms for always being by her side.
Lauren Price she/her (Mariana, Assistant Costume Designer) is thrilled to be returning to the Gundlach stage. Lauren is a freshman Musical Theater major and business minor. She was recently seen in Fiorello! (Nina). Lauren has previously done theater at Carnation City Players. Some of her past roles include Newsies (Warden Snyder), Honk! Jr (Grace), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Croupier), and many other shows. She is also a member of the Heidelberg University Marching Band. Lauren would like to thank her family, friends, and professors for their endless support!
Emma Rettig she/her (Servant) is excited to perform in her debut Gundlach show for her freshman year. Although this is her first show with the Heidelberg Theater, she has previously performed in Suite Surrender (Claudia McFadden), A Christmas Story (schoolchild), and Little Women (Mrs. Kirk), as well as working on crews for other shows. She would like to thank all the other theater members for being so welcoming during her first show.
Grace Thomas is so excited to be in her first ever Shakespeare play!! This is her second show with Heidelberg Theatre and she’s been having so much fun with this process!! She wants to thank everyone in the cast and crew for always being so encouraging and she hopes you enjoy the show!!
Rebecca Young she/her (Call Girl, Friar Peter, Mariana U/S and Mistress Overdone U/S) is a freshman majoring in Theatre with a Concentration in Acting and double minoring in Business and Psychology. She is ecstatic to be a part of her second main stage production, previously making her Gundlach debut in Fiorello! (Newsie/ Ensemble), and has previously performed in Chicago! (Roxie Hart), and Clue (Wadsworth) in high school. Becca would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support, as well as the entire theatre department for welcoming her with open arms!
Meet the Crew
Serria Allen She/They (Assistant Stage Manager), is a junior English and Integrated Media major and is excited to be a part of the Measure for Measure production team! Serria has been a part of the theater department since their Freshman year at Heidelberg. She has previously acted in Addams Family (Ensemble), Chicago (Select Dance Ensemble) and Spongebob the Musical (Electric Skate #1/Ensemble/Plankton Understudy); they also participated in the shadow performance of Rocky Horror as ‘The Lips’. Serria was also a part of Cinderella (Assistant Stage Manager), Wendy and Peter (Assistant Stage Manager), Les Liaison Dangereuse (Sound Designer/Operator), Fiorello (Sound Mixer) and The Woman in Black (Assistant Director/Stage Manager/Marketing). Serria has also been the show photographer for many of the Mainstage and Black Box performances!

Melaina Brostenianc She/Her (Marketing/Program Designer) is a Freshman Theatre Production major at Heidelberg University. She was recently involved in Heidelberg's production of Fiorello as the Assistant Stage Manager and Woman in Black (Program Designer) . Previously she was involved in productions at The Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts, Freaky Friday (Grandma Helene/Marketing), Newsies Jr. (Sound Board Operator/Marketing), 12 Angry Jurors (Foreman/Marketing), She Kills Monsters (Sound Board Operator/Marketing). Melaina is extremely excited and grateful for all her experiences thus far.
CJ Davis he/him (Assistant Director) is a sophomore Musical Theater major and Psychology minor here at Heidelberg. This is CJ’s first time assistant directing and he is so thrilled to have this opportunity. In the past he hast both been on stage in productions such as Porch (Jeff), Fiorello!(ensemble), and Dangerous Liaisons (Azolan) and been involved on production teams in several capacities including lighting design, set design, and prop design for shows such as Rocky Horror Picture Show, Endgame, and The Woman in Black. CJ is very excited to share this show with everyone and is looking forward to directing more in the future!
Krista Hagans (She/Her) is a Senior at Heidelberg University. She is currently working on her Theater degree with a concentration in acting and a minor in business. Krista was last seen as Tink in Wendy and Peter Pan and she is currently the manager of the front house and box office. She would like to thank her Mom and Dad, roommate, and friends back home in Dayton for their continued support. Enjoy the show!!!
Karla Kash, She/Her (Director, Intimacy/Fight Director, and Vocal Coach) is thrilled to be back working on the Bard! Ms. Kash has worked on many Shakespeare productions, including; five productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, three productions of Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet, two productions of Hamlet and Othello, and one production of Taming of the Shrew, King Lear, As You Like It, Julius Ceasar and now Measure for Measure.
Professor Kash is in her second year as an Associate Professor and Director of the Theatre at Heidelberg University and her eighteenth year as a full-time instructor in higher education. Professor Kash is grateful to be working with this group of talented and tenacious actors, designers, and production team. Karla feels blessed to be a part of the Berg family and a member of the Tiffin community.
Ms. Kash is a professional Director and Choreographer (member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers), Actor (member of the Actors Equity Association), Fight Director who is certified in six weapons (The Society of American Fight Directors) and is trained in Intimacy Direction.
Some of Ms. Kash’s favorite roles are Barbara in August: Osage County at Repertory Theatre of Iowa; Susan in the musical [title of show] and Becca in Rabbit Hole at StageWest; Diana in Next to Normal at Des Moines Onstage; Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet at American Theatre for Actors in NYC (and was the production's fight director); and Martha in A Piece of My Heart at the Metropolitan Playhouse, NYC. Karla’s most incredible experience as an actor is playing Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten opposite her mentor, the late Jonathan McMurtry, at North Coast Repertory Theatre in Solana Beach, CA, under the direction of David Ellenstein.
Ms. Kash’s favorite productions as a professional director, choreographer, and/or fight director are Parade, Jerry Springer the Opera, Spring Awakening, and Avenue Q for StageWest; West Side Story, Rock of Ages, and The Wedding Singer for The Des Moines Playhouse; The Glass Menagerie for The Repertory Theatre of Iowa; The World Goes ‘Round for The International Lyric Academy in Italy; and Shipwrecked at The Black Hills Playhouse. A career highlight for Karla was doing the fight direction for the Broadway National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles.
Some of Professor Kash’s favorite productions as a producer, director, choreographer, and/or fight director at the University level are; Wendy and Peter Pan, SpongeBob, and Fiorello at HU, Godspell, A Dolls House, and Hair at The University at Albany; Heathers, Sweeney Todd, A Man of No Importance, and bare: a pop opera at Drake University; and The Pavillion, The Music Man, and My Fair Lady at Iowa State University.
Ms. Kash earned her BFA in Acting with an emphasis in Dance, Directing, and Musical Theatre from Wright State University and her MFA in Acting with a focus on Classical Theatre and Movement Studies from Brandeis University. Professor Kash’s highlight of her educational career is receiving the distinguished Madlyn Levitt Mentor of the Year award at Drake University, where she was tenured.
Lexi Lang (she/her) is happy to be back on the mainstage tech team for Hair and Makeup this fall. She has designed Hair and Makeup for several shows at Heidelberg before, and she is currently the resident Lead Hair and Makeup Specialist for the school of Music and Theater. Additionally, Lexi can often be seen on stage. She has had roles such as Fiorello! (Thea), Chicago (Mary Sunshine), Pride and Prejudice (Mary Bennet), and Spongebob SquarePants: The Musical (The Mayor of Bikini Bottom). Lexi would like to thank her friends and family, the production team/leaders, professor Susan Hlavinka, professor Karla Kash, and Dr. Carol Dusdeiker for believing in her and helping her grow as a technical artist.
Dr. Doug McConnell is Professor Emeritus of Composition and Music for the School of Music and Theater at Heidelberg University His compositions have been performed throughout the U.S. and internationally. Doug has written for a variety of performing mediums, but he especially enjoys writing for voices; his work in this area includes a variety of works for choirs. He has also composed several song cycles and collections, based on poetry by Langston Hughes, Sara Teasdale and William Reyer. Over the years, Dr. McConnell has enjoyed composing incidental music for the Heidelberg Theatre program; this tradition continues with this production. Previous shows include The Visit, The Crucible, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Greeks: Oedipus Rex/Lysistrata, and Eurydice.
Jack Mills is a senior musical theatre major. He has performed in Heidelberg’s production’s Dance Nation as Luke, Lucas in The Addams Family Musical, Puck in A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Slightly in Wendy and Peter, and Patchy The Pirate in SpongeBob the Musical. He assistant directed a student directed play in the Blackbox theater called My First Time, and recently co-directed Misery. He is very excited to Assistant Direct this production of Measure For Measure. He wants to thank his friends and family for their continuous support. Autumn Perry She/Her (Production Stage Manager) is a Junior Theatre Production and English Literature double major at Heidelberg University and is incredibly thrilled to be the Production Stage Manager for the main stage production of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, this November. Autumn has previously been involved in Heidelberg's productions of Eurydice (Stage Manager), Chicago (Stage Manager), Misery (Sound Designer), Top Girls (Sound Designer), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Stage Manager), Porch (Light Designer), Spongebob (Assistant Technical Director), Fiorello (Production Stage Manager), and most recently, Woman in Black (Set Designer). Autumn is extremely grateful for her production roles this semester and looks forward to another wonderful semester in the theater. Autumn would also like to thank her loved ones for all the support they offer her!
Milana (Millie) Robbins she/her (Assistant Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be returning to theater in her Freshman year! She had partaken in the International Academy of Macomb’s productions of Edgar Allen Poe’s: Afterlife Radio Show (Lead Set Designer), Alice in Wonderland (Lead Set Designer/Backstage Crew), Romeo and Juliet (Lead Set Designer/Backstage Crew), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Lead Set Designer/Lead Stage Manager). She also partook in Gundlach Theatre’s production of Fiorello! (Assistant Stage Manager) Millie would like to thank her parents for their unconditional support through each production.
Lexy Saxon (She/Her) Lighting Designer Lexy is a junior theater production major and writing minor at Heidelberg University. She is very excited about being able to design a show on the mainstage for this season. Lexy has designed many shows such as We Have Apples, Women In Black, Top Girls as well as assistant designing shows such as Chicago and Wendy and Peter. Over the summer, she designed a production of Godspell in Lorain for Lorain Community Music Center. Lexy would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her, and everyone on the cast and crew for being so fun to work with!
