Amelia Hammond she/her (Baker’s Wife) is so proud to end her Senior year with Heidelberg directing this incredible production of Into The Woods! She is a fourth-year theatre major with a concentration in Acting. Amelia has previously performed in The SpongeBob Musical (Plankton), Wendy & Peter Pan (Crocodile), We Have Apples (Jane), One Man, Two Guvnors (Alfie/Old Man), 26 Pebbles (Yolie/Jeriann/Sally), Godspell (Learn Your Lessons Well soloist), The Prom (Angie), Macbeth (First Witch), Legally Blonde (Enid Hoopes), and Trojan Women (Talthybius). Last January, she directed the first musical in the BlackBox Theatre at Heidelberg, Superhero! This summer, Amelia will perform with Old Towne Hall Theatre in Grafton, OH in their production of Rent (Joanne). At Heidelberg, she is the President of Make-A-Scene, and a proud member of Studio2Stage, Concert Choir, and Zeta Theta Psi Embers. Amelia is dedicated to telling her story through characters on stage and continuing to advocate for others to speak out about their own experiences in life. She’d like to thank her family and friends for cheering her on every performance. She’d especially like to thank the Heidelberg School of Music and Theatre for giving her the best years on and off stage.
Elijah Shiley he/him (Baker) is a junior music education major from Tiffin, Ohio and is honored to bring the ever relevant messages of Into the Woods alive. Elijah has appeared previously in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged (Himself), Birthday Candles (Matt/William), and Macbeth (Macduff). He would like to thank all involved in the production, our lovely SMT faculty, and his parents for their continued support.

Hannah Lewis (The Witch) is a junior musical theatre major from Solon, Ohio and she is thrilled to be back up on stage at Gundlach theatre. Hannah also has appeared in various productions on the Heidelberg stage including Alice (Duchess/ The Walrus/Father William) Macbeth (Banquo), Legally Blonde (Vivienne), Trojan Women (Cassandra), Sweet Delilah Swim Club (Vernidette),The Half Life of Marie Curie (Marie), Assassin's (Squeaky), Measure for Measure (Lucio) and Godspell (By My Side). She has also worked as props, dramaturg, stage management, dialect designer and more on various productions since coming to Heidelberg and has loved the opportunity to work on both sides of the curtain. Hannah is also in concert choir, studio to stage, make a scene, and is the president of Alpha Psi Omega (our theatre honorary). Hannah is grateful to Karla for giving her the opportunity to be in such an iconic show. She is so so grateful to be honored with a dream role of hers and is thankful for everyone who made this show possible. Most of all she wants to thank her family for all their support as she pursues her dreams. She hopes you enjoy the show!!!
Addison Miller She/Her (Little Red Ridinghood) is thrilled to end her spring semester of her freshman year with this production! This is Addison’s fourth production here at Heidelberg! She is from the small town of Armada, Michigan and is a musical theatre major with a minor in business with the hopes to one day open her own theatre company. Addison has previously performed in Heidelberg’s productions of Alice in Wonderland (Humpty Dumpty and Gryphon), Macbeth (Young Siward and Macduff’s son) and Legally Blonde (Ensemble). She would like to thank her parents, sister and grandparents for always supporting her to follow her dreams. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for making this show such a wonderful experience!
Dean Morrison He/Him (Jack), is super excited to end his spring semester with the performance of Into the Woods. He is a first-year Musical Theatre and Political Science major with the intention to go to Law school after he graduates. Dean has been in three shows his entire life, where he took the roles as Will Bloom in the production Big Fish, his senior year of high school, Bosun in his first ever Heidelberg production Dracula: Comedy of Terrors, and numerous roles such as Mock Turtle and Red King in Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. He would like to thank his director, Karla Kash, for giving him the opportunity to perform in such a wonderful and exciting show, and is thankful for the amount of support he gets from his family, friends, teammates, coaches, and you!
Mackenzie Ludwig she/her (Narrator/U/S Baker’s Wife/ Head of Hair/Wig/Makeup) from Macomb, Michigan is a senior at Heidelberg University majoring in theatre with a concentration in acting and minor in psychology. In her theatrical performances at Heidelberg University she was previously in Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (Dormouse/White Queen), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth), Legally Blonde (Serena), Trojan Women (Helen of Troy), The Prom (Ensemble/ Dance Captain), Sweet Delilah Swim Club(Jeri-Neal), You Just Never Know(Mo), Fiorello (Chorus Cutie), Measure for Measure (Varrius), Circle Mirror Transformation (Theresa), and Assassins (Ensemble/dance captain). Along with acting, she was also head of hair and makeup for Macbeth, Trojan Women, 26 Pebbles, Circle Mirror Transformation, One Man Two Guvnors, and The Letter G. Before attending Heidelberg, she was in Pride and Prejudice (Elizabeth Bennet) and Annie (Lily St. Regis) at Eisenhower High School. She is also game-master of the improv group, “Make-a-scene" as well as the Campus' Show Choir/Jazz ensemble, Studio2Stage. She also is inducted as a Thespian and Alpha Psi Omega member serving as secretary.
In Mack's professional life, she works as a Party Princess at Tea Party Castle in Shelby Township, Michigan, providing entertainment and magic to children and adults. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career acting in film. Mack enjoys spreading relevant messages through the art of storytelling through several mediums, but specifically her love of film and theatre.
Dermot Healy he/him (Rapunzel’s Prince) is excited to be returning to Gundlach in this production of Into the Woods. His other shows include Alice In Wonderland(King Of Hearts), Macbeth(Macbeth), Legally Blonde(Aaron Schultz), The Prom(Mr. Hawkins), 26 Pebbles(Actor 3) You Just Never Know(Geoff), Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins(Charles Guiteau), One Man, Two Guuvnors(Harry Dangle), Measure for Measure(Escalus), Fiorello!(Ensamble), SpongeBob(Gary), The Other Place(Man), Wendy and Peter Pan(Tom), and Chicago(Ensemble).
Meg Amburgey she/her (Rapunzel) is so happy to be on the Gundlach stage again in this production of Into the Woods. She is from Bowling Green, Ohio and is a 3rd year Musical Theatre major. Other shows that Meg has participated at Heidelberg include: Superhero (Charlotte), Macbeth (Third Witch/Third Murderer), Legally Blonde (Brooke Wyndham), The Prom (Dee Dee Allen), One Man, Two Guvnors (Pauline), Godspell (Day by Day Soloist), The Sweet Delilah Swim Club (Lexie Richards), Trojan Woman (Chorus), Assassins (Housewife/Ensemble), Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure (Francisca, u/s Isabella), and Fiorello (Sophie/Ensemble). Other performances include The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Dr. Frank-N-Furter) in conjunction with Berg Allies, Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), at Lourdes University, A Soldier’s Tale (Narrator/Soldier) in conjunction with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, A Christmas Carol (Belle) and SIX! (Anna of Cleves) both at the Toledo Repertoire Theater. She is also a member of Heidelberg’s Make-A-Scene Improv Troupe and Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honorary. Meg would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for always supporting her!
Becca Shoemaker She/her (Jack’s Mother) is so thankful to be a part of the beautiful story that is Into The Woods! Becca is a Sophomore Musical Theatre major at Heidelberg University from Mansfield, Texas. Some of her favorite roles from the past include Cady Heron (Mean Girls the Musical), Giacinta (Scapino), Hecuba (Trojan Women), Sheree Holinger (Sweet Delilah Swim Club), and Pilar (Legally Blonde The Musical). She is also a member of the Heidelberg University Concert Choir and Studio 2 Stage. Special thanks from Becca go to her fellow cast mates and directors for putting together such a beautiful show, and to her family for always being her biggest cheerleaders.
Paul Duncan (He/Him) (Lima, Ohio) (Wolf). This will be Paul’s final show of his freshman year at Heidelberg. Since his very first show, Paul fell in love with theatre and immediately knew this was what he wanted to do with his life. He’s been in a variety of shows both at his high school and at his community theatre. This show is so special to him, and he’s truly grateful to be a part of this amazing experience. He would like to thank everyone for coming to the show and hopes you all enjoy!!

Sydney Mendez (they/them) Lucinda is a Junior Musical Theatre Major, excited to be a part of their nineth show here at Heidelberg University. They previously had the opportunity of playing previous roles of Emma Nolan (The Prom), “We Beseech Thee” Soloist (Godspell), Lennox (Macbeth) Ensemble (Legally Blonde/Assassin/Measure For Measure/Fiorello), and is honored to be sharing the Gundlach stage with this talented group of performers. Allison Fronzaglia she/her (Lima, OH) (Florinda, U/S Witch) You may have also seen her in Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass (White Rabbit), Macbeth (Hecate/Donalbain, U/S MacDuff), Legally Blonde (Delta Nu/Chutney Wyndham), Trojan Women (Poseidon) or Birthday Candles (Ernestine). Allison is grateful for this experience and the ability to have fun doing what she loves with her friends. Sophia Wilkinson she/her (Granny) Sophia is a Musical Theater major from Texas. She has also appeared in You Just Never Know (Claire), Trojan Women (chorus), The Prom (Ensemble), Five lesbians eating a quiche (Ginny), Macbeth (Fleance), and Alice (Alice). The rehearsal process was so much fun and she really enjoyed working with her amazing cast mates and friends. Lauren Price she/her (Giant, Co-Costume Designer) Lauren is thrilled to be back on the Gundlach Stage for her sixth semester! Lauren is a junior Musical Theater and Music double major. She has also appeared in Alice (Queen of Hearts/Red Queen), Macbeth (Ross), 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche (Lulie), The Prom (Sheldon Saperstein), Trojan Women (Athena), The Sweet Delilah Swim Club (Dinah Grayson), Godspell (Marianne Williamson), Assassins (Ensemble), Circle Mirror Transformation (Lauren), Measure For Measure (Marianna), and Fiorello! (Nina). She serves as the costume shop manager and Concert Choir Attire Coordinator. She is also a member of the Heidelberg University Marching Band and Concert Choir, Tau Mu Sigma Music Honorary, and Vice President of Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honorary. This show has been an honor to work on with her fellow cast, directors, and production team! She hopes you enjoy this musical theatre classic! Matthew Strouse, he/him, (Oak Harbor, Ohio) is a sophomore at Heidelberg University majoring in Musical Theater and minoring in Business. He has previously performed in The Prom (Nick) The Robber Bridegroom (Goat) and Legally Blonde (Emmett) He is thrilled for the opportunity to be apart of this cast, and he wants you to enjoy the show!

Wren Johnston he/him (Steward/Jack u/s) is a first year Musical Theatre and Elementary Education major at Heidelberg University. Wren is from Wyoming, Michigan has loved to perform for as long as he can remember. A few more notable credits of his are Nikos/Kiki in Legally Blonde, Malcolm in Macbeth, and Simon Branson in Superhero. Wren also designed Hair and Makeup for Superhero and helped with hair and makeup for Into the Woods as well as assistant stage managed Alice in Wonderland! In addition to shows Wren also partakes in Heidelberg’s Studio2Stage ensemble, and the Make-A-Scene improv troupe.

Lainey Miller she/her (Snow White, US Stepmother, US Jacks Mother) is so excited to finish off her sophomore year with Into the Woods. Lainey is majoring in Theatre with an Acting concentration. At Heidelberg so far she has performed in Godspell (chorus), Trojan Women (Soldier), The Prom (named chorus/Sheldon US), Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche (Dale Prist), Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (Knave of Hearts, Fawn, Slithy Tove) and has previously performed in The Little Mermaid (Windward), Peter Pan (Nana/The Croc), Fiddler on the Roof (Frumah-Sarah), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Mrs. Poticher/Judah), and Radium Girls (Ms. Wiley/Irene). She would like to thank her parents and siblings for being so supportive in following her love of theatre into college. Lainey would also like to thank Karla Kash for the opportunities and experience throughout this whole process.

Mia Puente she/her (Sleeping Beauty) is so excited to be in Into The Woods! She is from Spring, Texas, and has been doing theater for a very long time! She is a first-year musical theater major and writing minor. Mia has also performed in Legally Blonde (Ensemble), Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Mina/ Van Helsing), and Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (Lory/Lorina)! She is also a member of the Heidelberg concert choir! She is so honored to be performing on a college level and would like to thank her parents, friends, and God for always believing in her and helping her get this far!

Diaunte Griffin he/him Gibsonburg, Ohio (Snow White's Prince/Harp/ U/S for Wolf) is ecstatic for this production of Into the Woods to be viewed by so many people! Diaunte is a first-year here at Heidelberg University and is grateful to make so many wonderful memories with these people. He is glad to be able to call his peers friends and family.

Professor Kash is grateful to collaborate with this extraordinary cast and inventive production team on Into the Woods. She is especially thrilled to reunite with her friend and colleague, Dr. Greg Ramsdell, their first collaboration since 2023.
At Heidelberg University, Ms. Kash has directed Alice, The Prom, Godspell, Assassins, Wendy and Peter Pan, SpongeBob the Musical, Macbeth, and Measure for Measure, and choreographed Fiorello! She is now in her fourth year as Associate Professor and Director of Theatre at Heidelberg, marking her twentieth year as a full-time university educator. Karla feels deeply fortunate to be part of the Heidelberg community in Tiffin.

A professional director and choreographer, Ms. Kash is a proud member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers. She is also a professional actor and a member of Actors’ Equity Association. She is trained in intimacy direction and is a fight director certified in six weapons through the Society of American Fight Directors. She is becoming a certified teacher of the Michael Chekhov Technique and is certified in Mental Health First Aid.

Some of her favorite acting roles include Barbara in August: Osage County (Repertory Theatre of Iowa); Susan in [title of show] and Becca in Rabbit Hole (StageWest); Diana in Next to Normal (Des Moines Onstage); Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet (American Theatre of Actors, NYC), where she also served as fight director; and Martha in A Piece of My Heart (Metropolitan Playhouse, NYC). One of the most profound experiences of her career was playing Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten opposite her mentor, the late Jonathan McMurtry, at North Coast Repertory Theatre under the direction of David Ellenstein.

Her favorite professional directing, choreography, and fight direction credits include Parade, Jerry Springer: The Opera, Spring Awakening, and Avenue Q (StageWest); West Side Story, Rock of Ages, and The Wedding Singer (Des Moines Playhouse); The Glass Menagerie, Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night (Repertory Theatre of Iowa); The World Goes ’Round (International Lyric Academy, Italy); and Shipwrecked! (Black Hills Playhouse). A career highlight was serving as fight director for the Broadway National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles.

Ms. Kash earned her BFA in Acting with emphases in Dance, Directing, and Musical Theatre from Wright State University and her MFA in Acting with a focus in Classical Theatre and Movement Studies from Brandeis University. Her proudest career accomplishment remains receiving the distinguished Madlyn Levitt Mentor of the Year Award at Drake University, where she also earned tenure.
Zion Pinell they/them (Production Stage Manager) is a Senior Psychology (Neuroscience) major with a Gender and Identity Studies minor at Heidelberg University. They are overjoyed to be stage managing one last time for our Mainstage Production of Into the Woods. Zion has previously been involved in Heidelberg’s main stage productions of Godspell (Assistant Stage Manager), 26 Pebbles (Assistant Stage Manager), Trojan Women (Scenic Charge), and The Prom (Assistant Director and Head Scenic Charge Artist) and black box productions of The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) (Production Stage Manager, Scenic Designer/Technical Director), Trojan Women (Head Scenic Charge Artist), Birthday Candles (Crew), 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche (Director, PSM, Dramaturgy, Scenic Charge Artist, Sound Designer/Operator), and Superhero (Production Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, Scenic Charge Artist). Outside of the theater Zion is involved in greek life, Black Student Union, Alpha Psi Omega, The Center for Survivor Empowerment, It’s On Us, and Res Life. Zion would like to thank each person they have had the pleasure of working with during their time at Heidelberg. You all have made a mark on their heart. As the saying goes, "As the first, as the last."
Lavannah Hamilton She/Her (Stage Manager) is a sophomore Musical Theater major from Wakeman, OH who is overjoyed to help stage manage another MainStage show at Heidelberg University. She is grateful that she gets to work alongside such a talented group of people and an amazing production team. Lavannah has previously performed in Trojan Women (Chorus), Birthday Candles (Joan/Alex/Beth), Legally Blonde (Ensemble/Judge), and Macbeth (A Porter/Lady Macduff/Siward), and Superhero (Rachel/Princess), and has been assistant stage manager for You Just Never Know and The Prom, as well as the production stage manager for 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche and Rocky Horror Picture Show. She is extremely grateful to be a part of this production and gain more experience in stage management.
Bailey Grizzell (she/her)(Assistant Stage Manager, Dramaturg, Fight Captain) - She is a second-year musical theatre and marketing double major. She has previously worked on You Just Never Know (props), Sweet Delilah Swim Club (costumes), Trojan Women (dramaturg), and Legally Blonde (assist. costume designer, dance captain, and assist. intimacy coordinator). She is very grateful for her family, friends and her dog! Bailey comes from Grove City, Ohio.

Becca Young She/Her (Assistant Director) is a junior majoring in Theatre with a Concentration in Acting and a minor in Business. She is ecstatic to be expanding her horizons as assistant director, previously performing on the Gundlach stage and the Black Box in Trojan Women (Soldier/ Chorus u/s Menelaus), Birthday Candles (Alice/Madeline/Ernie), Legally Blonde (Kate/D.A. Joyce Riley), Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Jonathan Harker/Lord Cavendish/ Lord Worthington/Lord Havemercy/Gravedigger), and Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass (Mad Hatter/Carpenter/Hatta). You may also have seen her work as props designer for One Man, Two Guvnors, Godspell, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged), and Legally Blonde.
